La “Nueva Normalidad” Viajando durante la Pandemia de COVID-19
En los últimos días, los viajeros se han preguntado si es seguro viajar o no. O cómo pueden minimizar el riesgo. Muchas personas quieren viajar especialmente después de estar encerradas, y muchas quieren hacerlo de manera segura.
Esas son buenas noticias para la Industria de viajes que sido de las mas golpeadas won esta pandemia. Millones de trabajos perdidos son muestra de ello.
La Asociación de Viajes de EE. UU. Y las autoridades de salud se han unido para establecer nuevas prácticas de seguridad, en orientación con los CDC (Centros para el Control de Enfermedades)ance with the CDC (Centers for Diseases Control)
- Distanciamiento social y requisito de cubre bocas.
Se alienta al distanciamiento social y es crucial usar el cubrebocas en el aeropuerto y durante los vuelos.
- Pruebas Integrales.
La Asociación de Viajes de EE. UU. está presionando por una legislación que se llama Test Act, que mejorará las pruebas de COVID-19 y aboga por un rastreo de contacto generalizado.
- Desinfección y distancia física.
Estos son igualmente importantes para mantener a los viajeros lo más seguros posible. Lavarse las manos, desinfectar, etc.

- No viaje si está enfermo
- Elija destinos al aire libre
- Evite las multitudes

Cómo podemos olvidar las historias de terror de los cruceros durante la primavera pasada relacionadas con COVID-19 con pasajeros en cuarentena durante semanas en condiciones desesperantes y con gente enferma y aun muriendo?
Prevemos que no volverán a funcionar durante el resto del 2020. Quizás el año próximo con nuevas medidas de seguridad, como limitar a los huespedes en las piscinas, no auto servirse en los buffets, y distanciarse socialmente en los shows y eventos del crucero. También creemos que los precios serán más altos.

The “New Normal” Traveling during the COVID-19 Pandemic
In recent days, travelers have questioned whether it’s safe to travel or not. Or how can they minimize the risk. Many people want to travel specially after being in lock down, and many want to do it safely.
That is great news for the travel industry that has been hit the hardest with this pandemic. Millions of job losses because of it.
The US Travel Association and the health authorities have teamed up to establish new safety practices, in guidance with the CDC (Centers for Diseases Control)
- Social Distancing and Mask Requirements.
Social distancing is encouraged and its crucial to wear a mask at the airport and during the flights.
- Comprehensive Testing.
The U.S. Travel Association is lobbying for legislation that is called Test Act which will improve COVID-19 testing and also advocating for widespread contact tracing.
- Disinfection and physical distance.
These are also very important to keep travelers as safe as possible. Washing hands, sanitizing, etc.
- Precautions for Travelers.
- Don’t travel if you are sick
- Choose outdoor destinations
- Avoid crowds.
- When flying, take disinfecting wipes, wash hands and wear a mask.
- Hotels.
Probably you won’t see a warm welcoming with shaking hands and close distance. Many hotels are limiting their shuttle service and hot warm buffet style breakfasts. Hotels have also implemented safety measures in cleaning and sanitizing the rooms, and as far a housekeeping they will not enter your room unless you authorize it.
Many things that you usually find in a hotel room will likely go away, for example pens, newspapers, etc.
- Cruise Lines.
How can we forget the horror stories of cruise ships last spring related to COVID-19 with passengers being quarantined for weeks in desperate conditions?
We predict they will not got back to operation for the remainder of this year. Perhaps next year with new safety measures, such as limiting people in swimming pools, not self-serving at the buffet and social distancing in shows and events. We also think prices will be higher.
